Below you'll find information on our two collections, the expenditure they provide for, and the different ways that you are able to contribute. Firstly, we provide you with the report for the 2013-2014 Financial Year for the operational income and expenditure of the parish (which is provided for from the Second Collection);

First and Second Collections - What's the Difference?

Each weekend at Mass the collections take place in our parish, one immediately after the Prayers of the Faithful, the other after Communion.

The First Collection provides, in the first place, for the priests of the parish: their monthly stipend, household food expenses, household electricity and cleaning expenses. This collection also contributes to a central fund which provides for the health care of priests and for the care and upkeep of retired priests.

The Second Collection provides the income for all the running expenses of the parish - staff employment, insurance, maintenance, maintaining and operating the Parish Office, liturgical supplies, water, waste collection, and most importantly - parish ministries and services.

Ways to Contribute

In the next section we explain how you can contribute to each of these two vital collections:

First Collection

There are two ways that you can contribute to this fund: either via your weekly cash contribution on the First Collection or via an authorised periodical contribution via your credit card.

Second Collection

There are several ways that you can contribute to this collection:

  1. Cash donations in the Second Collection basket

  2. Weekly Envelopes which are placed in the Second Collection basket each weekend during Mass

  3. Monthly automated contribution via your Credit Card. The Parish Office can make a charge on your nominated credit card on a monthly basis according to a signed authority, offering a 'set and forget' option for those who would like to set up a regular system for their contributions rather than having to complete an authoristation on each occasion. Of course, you can withdraw your authoristation for these contributions at any time.   4. Periodical Contributions made quarterly, half-yearly or yearly should you prefer to make a contribution according to these time periods. Credit card facilities are available should you wish to use them with this option.
